The Energy Map of your Home

Did you know that each room in your home corresponds to an area of your life?

Your home has an energetic blueprint that connects to areas of your life. Take a look around and see if an area in your home is neglected, cluttered or just doesn’t wow you when you spend time in it. Then, take a look at that area of your life. Does it also need a little love and attention? This powerful ancient tool is called the bagua map and it can empower you to take control of your home and your life.

There are two ways to do an energy map of your home. The classical bagua mapping method uses compass directions to map out the nine areas of your home. This is a bit more complicated and best used in a professional consultation. I love this method and use it in my own home but it is not for beginners. You also have to decide intuitively which method feels right in your space. This takes time in working with home energy and will come to you after you practice feng shui for a while.

The other method is the BTB method and was brought to the west by Master Lin Yun in the 1980’s. It is much easier to apply and is simply based on the direction of the front door. You align the bottom of the bagua with the wall part of the front door. The front door always is in one of the three lower rows of the bagua map.  So you will be facing into your home when you apply the bagua map.

You can bagua map a single room (if you share space with others), a home office, a desk or office at work or an entire house. Feng shui is all about balance . The energetic map helps you to strengthen  the areas of your life in which you have set intentions to manifest as well as balance all areas of your life and home.

This is a powerful tool and the foundation for feng shui. Remember to go slow, take time for reflection and intuitively feel the space. You are empowered and powerful. Feng shui is your tool for manifestation.
